Using the forum
Reading, posting, replying, mentions, likes, bookmarks and notifications.
The forum is open to read for everyone, signed in or not. Some categories (like the staff lounge) are only visible to the people they are meant for.
Posting
To start a topic or reply you need a RoWarden account with a linked Roblox account. Your posts show your Roblox username and avatar, never your email address or the name on your account. Link Roblox under Account settings, then pick a category and press New topic.
- Posts are written in Markdown: the toolbar adds bold, italic, links, quotes, lists and code. Use Preview to check how it will look.
- Write
@username(a Roblox username) to mention someone. They get a notification if they can read the topic. - Reply answers a specific post, and Quote copies the text you are answering.
- You can edit your own posts (earlier versions are kept) and remove them. A topic that already has replies can only be removed by a moderator.
- Add up to five tags (like
discord-bot) to help people find your topic; click a tag to see its topics. - Images and embeds are not supported. Links are allowed.
- Posts containing words the forum filters are refused, with a message asking you to edit them.
New accounts can start up to 3 topics a day, and everyone has limits on how fast they can post, so the forum stays readable. Some categories have slow mode: you can post there once every so many seconds.
Following things
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Like | Thanks the author. You cannot like your own post. |
| Bookmark | Saves a topic under Bookmarks. |
| Watching / Normal / Muted | Per topic: Watching notifies you of every new reply (you start watching topics you post in), Muted silences it. |
| Mark as answer | In a help topic, the author (or a moderator) can mark the reply that solved it. The topic then shows Solved. |
| Category watch | On a category page: notifies you of every new topic there. |
Notifications arrive in the bell like everything else in RoWarden, and as a Discord message if you have Discord linked and notifications on. You get at most one notification per topic until you read it, except when someone mentions you.
Search
Search looks through topic titles and replies. Filter by category, tag, author (Roblox username), dates, official updates only, or topics nobody has answered yet. Search only ever shows what you are allowed to read.
Reporting
Use Report on a post that is spam or abusive. A moderator reviews every report. When three different people report the same post it is hidden automatically until a moderator decides.
